Is It FEBRUARY Yet?

I wish it was February already! I'm super excited about these Valentine themed shirts for Kayden. This is my second and third shirt, here is the first one. The funny thing is that I have yet to make the one I saw online. That one was much cuter than my first one. I guess it will just have to be my inspiration.

On second thought, I'm glad that February is a few days away... I forgot about matching hair bows!
I hope you have a crafty weekend!

BE Mine

With Valentine's Day being right around the corner, I started thinking of Valentine's Day shirts for my daughter. I saw this idea and didn't pin it, so I can't share the website :(
Here is Kayden's Valentine's Day/ February shirt:

Walking in a Winter ONEderland

We celebrated my daughter's first birthday this weekend. Everyone had a great time. Thanks to my wonderful family, everything was exactly how I envisioned! Here are some pictures from Kayden's Winter ONEderland Birthday Party:

Winter Wonderland Part 2

Here are a couple sets of winter themed hair bows that I made for my daughter. The snowflakes are buttons that I have sewn on the ribbon. The snowman bow is made from glitter ribbon and glitter craft embellishments. I love these, but I can't wait to try some for Valentine's Day.

Winter Wonderland

My Dollar Tree hurricanes get a winter makeover. This makeover was quite easy. I took the hurricanes from this tutorial and filled them with winter themed items. Most of the filler was on clearance at Michaels Arts and Crafts stores. Very simple and inexpensive!

Wall Art

Happy New Year Friends! I am so excited about this wall art craft project. It's my best craft yet and a great craft to start the new year.

Materials:
12x12 scrapbook paper
12x12 canvas
mod podge
distress ink
spray paint
clear varnish

Tips and Tricks:
  • Use lightweight scrapbook paper instead of card stock. It takes a long time (and many coats of mod podge) to get the paper to adhere to the side of the canvas
  • Cover the entire front of the canvas, apply paper, and cover the top of the paper with a coat of mod podge
  • When everything has dried, cover with a clear matt varnish
  • Use scrapbook paper with big designs
