It's all about the BOWS!

I love making hair bows. If you have a little time, making your own boutique hair bows can be very cost efficient. We will definitely need some bigger boutique bow very soon since my daughter has more hair than I know what to do with... but that's another post.
After making a few bows, you will have a very extensive ribbon collection. Before you know it, you will need some type of ribbon storage or hair bow holder.  Sometimes I just purchase bows that generally match most of her clothing. Whether the bows are handmade or store bought...A GIRL HAS TO HAVE BOWS!!

I have been look at different polymer clay hair bow centers and decided to try making one. Here are my first polymer clay clippies. I tried this design because it looked simple. Circle and triangles...I love basic shapes! It doesn't get much easier than that!!

What type of hair accessories are you making?

Oh Baby Baby!

One of my MANY hobbies is making baby items. Decorating onesies and shirts is super fun! This craft is a little different, but still in the baby area. I recently saw a post on how to make burp cloths and wipe cases. Both tutorials were super easy to follow. I absolutely love YouTube.
Once I saw this fabric, I knew I had to use it! It just screams SWEET Girl. I embroidered the fabric to add a more personal touch. Here is a gift I made for the upcoming birth of baby Paisley, Gabe, and Chris.

Summer Designs

Nail designs of course! There have been quite a few nail designs that I really loved. See my Pinterest nail board to check out my latest pins. Since I'm a teacher (...with a one year old),  during the school year, I don't have a lot of time to create these time consuming designs. During the summer...it's a different story. I can really have fun with my nail polish/ designs and experiment a bit. I can be as WILD as I want!!
Here are some designs that I have tried:
Converse Shoe...this one has a GREAT tutorial on Youtube!

Chevron Nail Design... I used my scrapbook pattern scissors to create a similar pattern.
Have you tried any fun nail designs lately?

There are times when I want to give the polish a rest and just wear my nails natural. After seeing this whiter nails pin, I decided to give it a try.

I am very pleased with the results! My nails were a little dry, so I completed the look with a little buffing cream. You may want to finish this look off with a clear top coat or a fast drying clear polish if you are pressed for time (or impatient like me).
The best parts is that I had all the items in my house, so this pin cost me $0! Gotta love it!

More vinyl please

Here is a vinyl craft that I pinned and made. The supplies that were used are a frame, spray paint, vinyl, and the Cricut. I can't wait to hang this frame. It would be cute on a tile as well. This would also make a cute anniversary gift!

Cricut Fun

This machine is so cool. Here is my first layered vinyl cup. This design comes from the Life is a Beach Cricut cartridge. I used the Big Kahuna title word(gray) and shark layer(orange). I hope the Mr. likes it!

Sunshine

Here is a simple monogrammed shirt. First, iron heat and bond to your fabric. Next, cut the desired shape. I cut a circle with the Cricut machine. Iron the shape to your shirt. Then, choose and sew your monogram. Finally, sew around the shape. I used the zig-zag stitch and decreased the length. This is a quick and easy way to personalize and shirt. Have fun!

Ribbon Designs

I love making designs with ribbon. You may remember the turkey onesie that I made for Thanksgiving or the tree for Christmas... Well this design is for Easter.  It's definitely my favorite!
